During our IB unit “Communities Change over Time,” we learned about individuals who made an impact in their communities that led to change. Some students decided to take action to make a difference in our own community. Some of the girls made bracelets to sell in order to raise money for charity, and our class organized a school wide food drive. The Woman’s Domestic Violence Shelter was so thankful for the surplus of food and fundraiser money! Thank you Discovery School for all of the donations! Being so close to Christmas, students also decided to make bracelets and cards for the kids living at the shelter.
