In math, students collected data on the strength of paper depending on how it was folded. Each “bridge” was made of 1/4 of a piece of regular notebook paper. One bridge was folded like a fan into 6 sections, and the second bridge was folded into 12 sections. They were compared to the control, which wasn’t folded at all. Their goal was to create a way to collect and record data to compare the three bridges.
Gavin’s and Sydney’s bridge held 25 erasers! Gavin later used a scale and found out they weighed 1.25 pounds!
