On Monday afternoon, we took a hike through the woods with cameras. Could we find evidences of energy outside and in our classroom? Heat, electrical energy, light, sound, and magnetic energy are forms of energy. Students took pictures of things they found that either use or produce any one of these five energies. Later they described their picture on Google Docs.
Hadley just took a photo of water she heard flowing under some rocks. The motion of the water trickling through created sound waves.
Gavin is taking a picture of a bird. While reading about energy, he learned about chemical energy. Chemical energy can be energy stored in food. The bird is using the energy from food to fly.
Heat energy from the sun’s rays is making us sweat!
