Transdisciplinary Theme: How We Express Ourselves
Recently we have been exploring poetry! We’ve written outside a few times this week to get inspiration from nature.
They love to share their work using our doc camera.
Students are working on creating images using words. They were challenged to “repaint” this painting (The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai) in the form of a poem. To assess our work, we brainstormed a rubric about what we think makes a great poem. We’re excited to create poetry portfolios as part of our final project for this unit!
