This Week in Pictures

We were excited to wrap up our first inquiry unit! For their final project, students were challenged to organize and play a game in the gym as a group without adult help.  They needed to make group decisions and apply different social and communication skills in order to be successful.  Later, they reflected on their learning and how well they worked together before, during, and after their game. We also discussed how they’ve improved since the beginning of the unit. They were proud of how successful they were! We began our new inquiry unit!  Our central idea is “Life depends on the ability to adapt.”  Students analyzed different seeds and discovered various seed adaptations.  Seeds are designed to disperse in different ways.  Some students chose to share their observations with the class using our doc camera. We went outside to find other seed adaptations. Za’Myia shared with the class a creative skit that she wrote during Daily 5. She’s excited to keep adding to it!See you next week!
