Circulatory System Game

Central Idea:  The human body is an intricate system that is constantly changing.

Students learned that the circulatory system is like FedEx.  The red blood cells in the blood are constantly delivering oxygen, nutrients, and waste to different parts of the body.  In order to understand this concept better, students assembled a complex game involving the circulatory system. The goal of the game is to deliver the oxygen and sugar/protein pieces to the cells, the CO2 to the lungs, and the waste produced by cells to the kidneys. image image image

On a different note, we had a few fun surprises this week!   Sania decided to write a song at home about the skeletal system, and Sarah brought in a deer skull for us to look at.   Avaia brought a bone in that she found at Roots and Shoots.  Thanks for sharing! : )
